We are considering a Tuffshed building similar to the one in the pic. Does anybody that actually has or had a TuffShed have any opinions on their work? We are not interested in the Home Depot versions, there is a TuffShed shop here in E. Texas. Probably going with a crushed and compacted gravel base as no heavy vehicles will be inside.Talked to city engineer., no worries concerning either a slab or block base. We will want to run elect from sub-panel in garage about 45' from site of building. Not to be a living area, just workshop and storage. Not able to build my own as some others suggest. Any helpful suggestions very appreciated. There seems to be a knowledgeable group of folks on this site.

P.S. We are looking at about 16 x 24. Thanks again for replies.

My sister and her husband have one they coverted to a shop for building R6 motorcycle engines. They have a motorcycle dyno in a box truck thats parked next to it. They insulated the barn and installed a mini-split HVAC system. They seem very happy with it. It has held up great. I believe it was built around 2006. Maybe earlier.

abooboo,

We had one put up about 4 years ago and have been real happy with it. Went with the largest the city would allow (12 X 16). It was set on cinder blocks as we have a little slope in the area it was needed. So far so good. Really nice to get all of the outside tools outside! Good Luck!

I bought one of their smaller ones through Home Depot a couple of years ago. The crew actually came here to Memphis from Texas to assemble it! It's very well made and I have no complaints at all. Even the local code inspector who checked it out after it was done had good things to say about them...

HolyGrail said "I think there great. Here is one I converted into a room in 2009. Never had a issue. No shifts or leaks. Even without a conversion, I think they are well made. "

Looks like you might be hanging out on [H]ard|OCP. Nice set up there, the insides do not go with the outsides, lol.

I have a Tuff Shed that was put up a few years ago and although it is only 6x10 I have been very satisfied with it, no problems at all. I insulated it with rigid foam and covered the walls with white pegboard.
