what a turn of events for me. i lost my dad a few weeks ago & now i win a $1000.00 shopping spree @ my hometown hardware store. the list filled up fast (with a little help from my wife) but it was fun to spend money from the pocket of someone else. 2 garage door openers, hanging shop vac, window ac unit, grill, carpet steamer, kregs joint kit, & a vice-grip set. what fun!

First, losing a parent is always hard so condolences on your loss.

Congratulations on the win. Buy something special to remember your Dad.

Maybe your Dad stirred that lottery pot.... ;)

Dad was looking out for you! Sorry for your loss.

My condolences on the loss of your father. i too had a similar experience this past year and i believe mine / your father were looking out for us. A few months after he passed i won a new harley fatboy and there is no way it was on my luck alone, so just take it that he did what he could to help you out and remind you of him. That is what a good father does. Mike

So how does this work? Was it timed? Were you able to decide what you wanted before you got to the store?
