This is a bit of a reverse......
In 2005 we built our house on a couple acres. I added a 3+1 car garage off one end of the house and took the original garage space and designed a wood shop. Central heat and air, right off the house.
But we wanted more space for a media room, sun room, cat room. So I moved to a 24 x 60 building out back and over the next year, I remodeled into the finished product you see at the end.
The oroginal dust collection duct work gave me a place to run cabling to a floor box between our chairs. Ceiling beams gave me space for downlighting.
I also added a couple of pet doors into the courtyard, hanging window treatments and a media space for network, DVD, internet, satellite, etc....
