What type of welding is that? Those things are kind of adorable. I have a bucket of horseshoes but only a flux wire welder...

Ok here we go, these are welded with MM252 .30 wire. And you can use flux wire, it will work fine. I start out with a shoe in the vise, heat and hit with a hammer.... this will be the body. The smaller the shoe the better. For the flippers it takes two shoes. One for the front flipper's and one for the back. The head will be one shoe ( one shoe = two heads ) The tail is a concrete nail. Some of the turtles I weld on the bottom and some I weld on top of the body. The welds on the top of the body I hit with a floppy disk to blend in with the body. The black turtle was my first one. I have a Face Book page under Skunkworks Fabrication, things I make with horse shoes. I use New and Used shoes for things. I hope this helps.

That it is. I get a lot of used shoes in 5gal. and this was in one, there are a lot of new shoes that are mixed in with the used ones I get. Some with just a little rust and never used.
