Can anybody recommend a good "COMPONENT TO HDMI converter"?

I'm trying to connect an old VCR to a newer 4K UHDTV and the TV doesn't have a component input(AV IN) or S-video, so I need to convert to HDMI.

(the wife has too many VHS tapes)

Thanks.

Since you are converting from an analog signal to a digital signal, no cable alone will do it. You need a convertor like the one above to adapt the different signals. Went through this myself when I added multiple monitors for my security camera system and my whole house A/V system.

Instead of trying to convert the signal, maybe consider paying a service to convert your VHS to DVD or buy a VHS to DVD burner.

Those DVD's will take up a lot less space.....and you don't have to rewind a DVD

As others have said - going analogue to digital requires a powered adapter.

So your TV only has HDMI inputs? VHS is really low resolution (480i) and adapting to regular video/RCA won't reduce the picture quality as a result.
