What appears to be a complete 1/2" set of Chromium Vanadium. Sockets marked as such, Rat marked only oil and Pat. Pend., all other pieces unmarked.

Nice finds Todd. I have one vlchek sockets and it looks nothing like them. Mine appears to be proto made. Don't forget to post them in the vlchek thread if you haven't already.

Heck of a vintage haul! The Vlchek sockets back up the belief that that the Craftsman BT ratchet and their twin Vlchek ratchets are New Britain made.

Stopped by a gents warehouse cleanup sale yesterday and snagged some good stuff.

First, what appears to be complete Bonney reefer set.

RF-2, 3, 4, & 5, unmarked extension and sliding T, and RF-22 Rat with sockets (unmarked except sizes)

Yeah, those have me scratching a bit. On one hand, the extension and T-bar are unmarked, which is uncharacteristic for Bonney, but the RF2-5 and the Rat are marked. I'm not sure what to make of it...…..

Bonney always marked even the smallest pieces. I think those pieces are another brand, but I’d still like to find out which. One of the GJ mysteries.

Nice Bonney pieces, Todd. That flat 4081 breaker bar is a beaut, and the reefer set is definitely a score.
I never had much use for the reefer sockets, because - even when I was first starting in AC - expansion valves were already starting to go non-adjustable. Or I should say technician un-adjustable. Though they had square adjustment shafts nobody I knew ever adjusted them. Heck I can't even remember how to do it. If we suspected a malfunctioning TXV we just R&R'd it.
Now the big thing is electronic expansion valves, so, repair by replacement is the M.O. these days.
Likewise backseating and sealing valves are one-time use or flat shank for an adjustable wrench - no more square sockets needed for those either.

Maybe I'm not as versed in the old craftsman as I think I am, but the circle H breaker bar with the =craftsman= style name is kind of unique, right? I like that one!

I don't think I've seen an S-K made breaker with the female drive hole in the end of the handle? Seemed to be an NB thing if I recall?

Another interesting fixed socket wheel/lug tool marked Motor Wheel Corp., (Lansing, MI) the largest wood & steel wheel Mfg. throughout the early 20th century.

My very first thought was that too but Blackhawk's numbering system when they made tools that primitive was completely different. That tool is almost certainly Walden Worcester.

I would concur. My earliest blackhawk speeder circa 1919 is a 500! Does not have the round end handle. My later ones that do have a similar but clearly different one.

Also, a gent had this at an antique store on the way back. Told me how Coke machine repair guys used to carry their tools in them. Had to hold it as long as I could but ultimately burst out laughing and finally set him straight. Bantam porta-power box, not nuggies.

FYI......not sold, said he put that tag on there after getting sick of so many people asking about it.

You know Todd, there's this cobbler probably quite near you who also does specialty leather jobs. Repairs suitcases, hand-bags, even recovers Bibles! Perhaps he could make you a leather handle for that tool box.
