Also, a gent had this at an antique store on the way back. Told me how Coke machine repair guys used to carry their tools in them. Had to hold it as long as I could but ultimately burst out laughing and finally set him straight. Bantam porta-power box, not nuggies.

Right....like putting a sold $2,200 tag on it isn't gonna inspire questions never mind the fact that he couldn't answer them in the first place.

Trying to get the customers to think the other inventory is priced fairly. "Wow, he sold that for all that money! This chipped milk glass figurine must be priced at market value too!"

1/4" CM, 1/2" Cornwell Gearless, 1/2" SK Roto, and Bonney pipe. Some SK and Indestro sockets. Bonney, Williams, Fairmount, etc wrenches and some miscellany.....somehow, somebody got the spinner handle off the Blackhawk extension?

You know what, I actually didn't look close enough. Another look reveals it to be a Japan marked knock-off.

I'd say still a rare find, even if it's just Japanese. I've seen popular mechanics branded ratchets and a few others that share the 1960's and 70's craftsman design and seem to be better than average quality. However, never seen that flying v on one. I wonder if someone swapped the craftsman v selector on to one of these knockoff ratchet bodies to fix it?

I have a Blackhawk extension that is the same way. If it wasn't the crimp on one it must have been a big challenge.

Thanks all, it was a good weekend. I haven't yet checked closely for dates on the SO set but I'm putting it to about 1928-9 based on a little research?

Hey, Twertsy , back on post 130 I think - maybe - hoping here, that I spotted a wrench I'm looking for. It's a combo in the Thorsen VeeGee - Snap-On VS pattern. Could it be a Westcraft? That's the only brand I know of that I don't have an example of in that pattern.
I'm up to 15 brands now!
(actually there's one other - Synthes - that I don't have, but since the brand isn't marked on the one wrench I've seen said to be that brand, I didn't buy it.)

If that one you have is a Westcraft, I'd sure like to make you an offer on it!

blue point made some v wrenches, I think they were military.
