Twin scissor lift problem

I have a Twin Busch scissor car lift and it is running slow, going up as well as coming down. I have heard that it has an oil filter that may get clogged and cause this but I don’t know where to find it.
Does anyone know where the filter is located or if there is a possibility that something else is wrong? The hydraulic oil is the correct type and the dipstick reads full when the lift is down, all electric is good and lift ran perfect all summer long and for the past two years. Could it be because of the temperature being cold in the garage?

Where are you at? How cold is it in the garage when you try to run the lift? What temperature was it when it last ran ok?

The cold certainly effects the way my lift lowers.

It takes much longer in the cold.

I'm in NJ, it was the day before our first snow storm. So garage was maybe 40º.
I ran it the week before when temp was 50º plus.

yes cold will make a big difference. not sure if 40 degrees would effect it that much.

around 30 is when I start to notice a big difference in manual and power jacks at work.

I have had it for two years, but you are leaning more toward the temp being the problem for slow operation than the oil filter?

Thanks for your response.

Consider giving their tech guys a call and seeing if you can run a lighter viscosity fluid in there.

Ask them what it has for filters or screens while you are at it. I'm in New England, and have never noticed a difference between summer and winter with my lift, or any other lift I've had in the past.
