I rounded off a lug nut on my Explorer like a noob - friend of mine used one of these and it just eased off with zero effort.

Now Im thinking I HAVE to get some of these.....but I dont want to spend a fortune.

His was a flip socket with two different sizes....just eased off with no effort - but it had no markings so I have no clue where to get the exact socket.

What is out there thats reasonable priced?

I was kind of curious about these also. I saw some for sale at Advance Auto a couple of weeks ago.

Get the craftsman 3 pc lug out set. 50 bucks. Always see them at Sears. Made in USA

It got spiral flutes which grip on. And is also flippable.

Nah - its a socket to remove rounded lug nuts. Has twists cut into it.....you beat it on with a hammer and the twists are cut so it digs IN as you try to turn the nut off.

His was a flip socket - two sizes on the same tool, he said that one socket did most all cars but he had a whole set.
