No longer in stock for shipping!!

BUT according to this post, many Rockler retail locations still have clamps in stock.

http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=21400

Two 36" Jet bar clamps, $7.98...

Enter code V9714 for free shipping! (The free shipping code works with ALL products, except those with special handling requirements.) Code came from THIS promo page.

Even if these are the "economy" grade and imported, you won't find a cheaper price for one, let alone two!

Just a warning - I posted this deal on slickdeals.net as well, and it looks like people are buying, so if you want in on the deal, do NOT hesitate.

what about those 6" clamps also going for cheap (2 for <$6)? are they worth the money? I just added two of those along with the 36" pair... came out to around 15 bucks shipped.

If you don't have 6" clamps, they're a great bargain. Relatively speaking, though, the 36" clamps are a much better bargain.

Generally, 6" Irwin quick clamps go for ~$5 a piece, so $2 less for a bar clamp is definitely worthwhile.

I just hope that Rockler has enough to fulfill everyone's orders, and if not, hopefully they still ship my two.

Dude, those slickdeals people don't appreciate good tool deals. Why let them in on the fun?

Thanks for the information--this is the first time I ever got in on one of those "advertised" deals--usually too late to the party.

Yeah, I ordered the 6" ones, as well. Can't have too many, right? :)

They do, sometimes. Besides, I've found a few great deals there, so I try to give back.

Woo! let's just hope that these clamps don't sellout too quickly. The 6" clamps are already marked as "sold out" so I'm hoping that they're still able to fulfill all orders for the 36".

Not me... This one is number 3. My Stuey Detail Kit arrived Saturday and I spent several nights last week getting my stuff moved in to my Stuey BB rollaway and chest combo. :bounce:

Thanks Stuey!!!!

If there's a Rockler store near you, they might be able to honor the $3.99 web-price.

An authorized dealer near where I work told me they could order anything off the catalog and match the current price at no additional cost. I don't know if they'll honor this special sale, since everything sold out, but it's worth a try.

It's odd that they removed the "sold out" warning. Maybe they saw the traffic and made arrangements to order more from their supplier at a similar low wholesale? Who knows.

Just received my clamps today. They are nicer than I expected. They seem pretty sturdy and should come in handy.

Thanks for posting the deal Stuey!

Finnally got mine last night. The packaging (a 36" long padded envelope) was torn open, but there was no damage to the bars. I agree with 98riv... They are much nicer than I expected.

Hey, I received mine last night too, and it was torn as well. :(

I didn't get a chance to check them out last night though.

I got mine on Monday and they were in a long box, but I also ordered the 6" pair.
Quality seems good but the rubber protectors seem a bit loose. No complaints,
though.

I finally received mine today; not bad quality compared to the smaller ones I bought from OSH; how do you guys store these huge clamps (I only do woodwork on rare occasions. :)
