Two Gearwrench ratchet sets. What's the difference?

This is my first post here, though in usually browse before I buy a tool. So thanks for getting me out of HF!

As the title states, I'm looking at two different sets of gearwrench ratchets. They have different part #'s, but I can't find a difference. What am I missing??

Also, is there a cheaper place to buy them? Or a different ratchet you'd recommend? I like the soft grip handle version, but I'm a machinist, and with coolant and whatnot, I've found that rubber handled tools tend to just get gross and sticky.

The 120xp are very strong. Many threads on here about them. The 84 are great too. I have comfort grip Snappys and chrome Armstrongs and the GW 120xp cushion grips.

I'd say you'll love the GW cushion grips. I bought the long 1/4" and 3/8" flex head 120xp cushion grip from Trident Supply for $55 on sale a month or two ago.

So, check Trident, Tooltopia, and of course the hotdeals section here on GJ... http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=36

The GW family of rats are nice b/c the head is super slim, as in low profile. .47" IIRC

EDIT: reread your OP. you don't want cushion grip. there was just a new post in hot deals on a set...

I saw that! Looks like a pretty awesome deal, although I think I'd prefer to have the extra length, and the flex heads. My toolbox at work is on the small side, and gets moved from machine to machine often. So there's not really room for a flex, and a fixed head, short and long, etc etc.

120xp actually has only 60 teeth, but it has dual drive gears giving it 120 positions.
A single gear with 120 teeth would be extremely weak.

Been on my "Damn, I need to buy these, sooner than later..." list, for a while, now...

Along with a bunch of other GearWrench stuff...

Good tools, fair price...other than not USA, what's not to like???

The 120 tooth ratchet is rated at 180% of ASME torque, the 84T 190% and a snap on Dual 80 is rated somewhere around 195%. So they are all very strong ratchets.
