Sorry couldn't hang around to bid on them . . . The first is a Hazet spare tire tool set, fairly complete and in good shape. The second is a very nice Bonney toolbox with a neatly integrated carry tray. No Bonney tools inside, I checked.

I saw that listing, somewhere in NE Pa. wanted to go but work had other ideas for me. Any idea what that tourist went for? I ended up hitting one in NC got a few goodies, so it wasn't a total loss

I think the round one was used in older VW's. It sat inside the spare tire or thereabouts. Quality vintage sets can go upwards of $1000.

look those sockets over. the look like some of them may be snap-on overstrikes. they would have a large s stamped over a smaller o. they may be worth from 3 to 10 dollars each

When I saw the picture, I was just thinking, that would have made some VW guy cry if it went for cheap and he missed it...

I was about to chime in and say those old VW sets (complete for sure) are worth big $$

Yep, Lower Milford Fire Co. near Allentown, PA. The the auction was almost all junk and these were in the last section to be sold. I couldn't stand around for 2-3 hours, bored to tears, to see how much they went for. Sorry. :)

Nice find!
I've become a new fan of Hazet since I discovered the spare tire tool kits.

If I remember the post, one of the guys on the GJ board bought the little blue screwdriver for a buck at a flea market, and sold it on ebay for a huge profit.
Possibly 930Dreamer knows the story.
