It starting to get to the point where it will be warming up a little, flowers popping, grass growing, etc. What is on the agenda for the Spring / Summer season as far as the garage goes? Myself.......pull everything off of the walls in both the house and my garage, paint everything, get my cabinets up, build a new workbench, and organize, new trim in the house garage, and hopefully a nice floor of some type in the house garage. Depending on how the economy shakes out and my job holds out, I would like to add a bathroom in my garage as the septic tank is close to it, but that may be on hold for a little while.

Finish the garage and driveway, get rid of all the mud. Starting today the game is on! Good bye winter!

Still barely above freezing. High today of 37F. 7-day high of 50F, still not warm enough where you can do some painting, or any type of outside work without having to turn the heat on. Would like it to be in the low 60's at least!

First thing on the agenda is to finish the hickory floor in the woodshop that I laid last fall.

Then move on to getting everything back into place that is currently pushed into the corners or moved downstairs so that I could work on the floor.

I have to admit that I'm really ready for spring this year. Breaking my foot the beginning of the year and having to hobble around on crutches and then a cane through the freezing rain and slush and being that much more constrained in my activities just made the "cabin fever" that much worse this year.

It's been in the 70's here for days... That said, my priority is getting my garage heat and driveway snowmelt system completed, hooked up and working. Winter starts around here in March.

Nonstop rain/snow in this area for the last week plus. White-out closed I-80 over Donner for the entire afternoon yesterday.
Spring can come anytime. We still need some April showers, but this ark-building weather can stop.
I have lots to do come spring. Right now I am working on getting the new lathe wired and waiting impatiently for my hoist to arrive. I need to get going on a car resto-project that I am doing for a family member, help the wife get the garden in, and address some items on my "checklist" for security and maint. & improvement around the house.
Now that my brain is engaged, when the sun finally starts to shine the grass is gonna grow so fast around here the first thing I need to do is prep the darn lawn mower.
It is going to be a good summer; my shop addition is done, the fishin' should be good, and warm wether always makes my back feel better.

You bastards in Ohio with your: "SPrInG is OnlY 2 WeEkS AwAY.:wtf:.." Well La-dee-frikkin'-da...It's still snowing here:mad:!! But you're right, it'll come (BTW - note the use of the two forms of YOUR/YOU'RE....) Sorry :(- I'm pissed at winter, shouldn't take it out on your spelling.

On my agenda - as per most years...is to get the fun cars/truck out of storage!! First out is the 46 MERC truck...later when it's dry, the '67 Galaxie Convertible. This year as well....the Challenger SHOW CAR (OK it's only a '74-318, but it's show to me...)!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

snowing here in Lancashire UK most of the day. It's stopped now but the temp is minus something.

I'd like to think Spring is only two weeks away, but I doubt it.

Are YOU sure Spring is 2 weeks from now?

Well, it hit 90 two days last week and should be 85 today and tomorrow:bounce:...
On the other hand, we COULD use some of that rain or melting snow you folks keep talking about.
No excuse for avoiding those outside projects except maybe this 30-40mph wind we seem to have every other day!

We had 14 inches of snow on Monday - granted it was lake effect and most of it is melted now.

I want to build a new workbench, rearrange the toolboxes, cabinets and garage equipment, add shelving and lighting, and make the rafters suitable for storage (the basement is full). The slab is in dismal shape, but that project will have to wait a few years. I also need to add outlets, there are only a couple and too far from my work area.

You know it's spring in Indiana when you start seeing road construction. The last phase of rebuilding the Borman Expressway started on Monday. There are a few projects around here where the contractors actually worked through the winter (except for a couple of really cold weeks) to do underground utility and drainage work so they could be ready for grading and pavement now.

Yesterday was sunny and high 40s so I cleaned off my workbench, organized some shelves, and then cleaned the floor. We're supposed to be in the 60s with sun today and tomorrow and then 50s with rain and thunderstorms over the weekend. Will be cooking on the grill tonight - maybe take the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood. They're still saying cold weather and maybe more snow next week though.

No real plans for projects in my garage this year. Everything is on hold for a while.
