Picked up two of these tonight:
00962021000

Not exactly sure on the arrangement for now but the first thought is to separate this:
View media item 3073and put one on top of each of the new ones. The old ones were project centers and were not built as well. The new ones are true roll arounds and can handle the weight better. That will make a cheap mans toolbox that is about 5 feet tall and about 53 inches wide. And the whole thing is 18 inches deep. I may just leave them as is and put a top on them. It will take some study this weekend.
They were on sale and I'm still glad I picked them up but I was a little disappointed with the ball bearing drawers. Frankly, my old (13+ years) non-ball bearing tool box has smoother action than these new ones. A casual glance seems to indicate that the drawers are not as sturdy also. I'm hoping things improve once I put some weight on the drawers and use them some. This box has an 'indent' in the back to hold the drawer - right now it takes quite a bit of effort to shut the drawer fully.
Oh - I forgot to mention. I blame all of you for purchasing these. This is part of my effort to improve my garage to try to come close to what I have seen here. I understand from what I have seen that matching storage looks quite good.

You should get your money back:

"Price Protection Policy

Buy with confidence from Sears. If an item you have purchased from Sears goes on sale for a lower price within 14 days of your purchase, Sears will refund the difference.

To claim a Price Protection Policy adjustment, go to your original Sears store where the purchase was made with your receipt. If your purchase was made on Sears.com, please fill out a Price Protection form . You will be given a refund for the difference of the original selling price and the current advertised/reduced price. Apparel clearance merchandise and conditional “Online Only Special Offers” do not qualify for Price Protection Policy adjustments.

Unless otherwise stated, promotions with a specific time window such as early open specials, one -day sales or “Online Only” events will be honored under the Price Protection policy only if the receipt is presented during the promotional time window. Deferred interest financing is not a price, and is not subject to the Price Protection Policy."

Already filled out the form. Hopefully it isn't just a price error on the web site. 129.99 is a pretty good price for a ball-bearing roll around.

What do you guys think of that for $130 as a cart for home use? It seems to be a nice price, but not an especially useful drawer layout imho. Yet, I am still considering one! :)

u could of bought the harbor freight 13 drawer tool box. It was on sale and i got it for $290 instead of 499. I have heard that they are better quality than the craftsman, but i have old craftsman that is similar that is still going strong!

Still a very good deal

what did you put between the gap of the top and bottom?

I cut some 2 by material and edge joined it. I happened to have a small can of red spray paint sitting around so I painted it red. There are two bolts that go all the way through the bottom of the top box and into the top of the bottom box. I put two more screws each in the top and bottom box into the wood so they are joined together well.
I loaded one of the new boxes tonight. The drawers work much better with some weight in them. Quite a bit better than the drawers in the older boxes pictured.

That looks great and really sharp. Nice job putting them together and nice little touches like the red paint go a long way.

Update - so yesterday the box in question disappeared from the Sear's web site. I knew something was up at that point - and I still had not heard anything from them on the price protection form I filled out. So I called them tonight. The first rep was clueless - she could not find the item on the website (duh) and tried to blow me off. So I escalated it to a manager. Was put in touch with Online Services with a manager. We discussed and she said it was a web pricing error - that is why they took it down. I've seen this happen a lot and everyone has a clause in their terms and conditions for use that allow them to deny a price they deem a web error. So I didn't argue with her too much - I did politely suggest that if someone fills out a price protection form and there is a problem that they at least contact them to explain the situation. That would be better than me spending 20 minutes on the phone trying to find out what happened. In the end she offered to send me a gift card. I don't know how much it will be but I don't think it will be $120 :(
Even when I posted the price change last Saturday I knew it was too good to be true. Hope no one else ordered the box at that price. If you did, I'm interested in what happened. Let us know.

I snagged 2 of them as well. Printed out the now missing sears page, drove to store, spent an hour going in circles with the sears people, but they finally came thru and honored the price. I pitched the print out but I still have my receipts. Think a scanned copy showing that a sears store sold them for $129.99 a piece would help your cause?

So you didn't buy them online - you printed out the page and drove to the store and bought them? Too cool. I actually have a print-out of the web page where it says 129.99. I regret not going to the store when I saw the lower price and working them for the refund. I probably could have done it there but they are a little more knowledgeable online. All I can say is great job. I appreciate the offer of the receipts but I'm not going to take it any further. I'm letting it die at this point. I noticed on my receipt that I got 10% off each box when I ordered them so they were 170 to me instead of 189. I'm still pretty happy with that and I can still deduct the value of the gift card when it gets here.
I must say though - if you talked them into 2 at 129 on a web pricing error then you deserve a You ****
