I drove across the state (Florida) to pick up a Lubester I had purchased previously and ended bringing home an Eco Air Meter with light above. The meter will need a restoration down the road but does work just fine.

Nice air meter. And to think how many have been scrapped over the years for the "pay for air" types. I would love to have one of those:bowdown:

What are them lubesters worth?...I have 2 of them.

I paid $100 for mine and it is currently cleaning up outstanding. You find some on eBay in the 250 to 350 range that are restored. I have also seen them as high as a $1000. It seems the cap adds to worth if it is cast in a gas company brand or logo. I belive one reason the prices stay low compared to other gas station items is the cost of shipping. Mine weighs about 50 pounds, many weigh a couple of hundred pounds.

Anyone have a wall mount air meter they want to part with? That would be real cool on a wall on the side of the shop.

Nice finds by the way.

Great finds, love the air meter.
I picked up a lubester in Anaconda Mt last summer (hauled it home to Eugene Or in the trunk of my wifes BMW:shocking: ).
Got it for $60.00. I converted it to a display case by cutting out the front and back with a saber saw (see below).

The resto on the Eco Model 97 air meter should be an easy one. Every part for that is available either new or repop. Check with Jack Sim or Ron Scoby over on the www.oldgas.com site for more information. Nice score!

I found my Eco as a rust-bucket at a farm auction many years ago, and restored it with parts from Vic's Place in Oklahoma. :)
