Here is an easy way to extend the door protection on your lift. These self stick child safety foam edge bumpers are the perfect thing. Home Depot has them in the cabinet isle for $14.00. Highly recommended as you most likely have one or two vehicles that hit somewhere other than the OEM door bumper on your brand lift.
I added these to my Bendpak XPR-10.

Bendpak installs the wide black rubber bumper, but I find a lot of vehicles hit various places around it. So I just added more coverage to compensate.

Had a post in an old garage, and did something similar.

I used a pool noodle from the dollar store and some extra long zip ties though. I think I had $1.50 into the whole thing. Cut a quarter out of the pool noodle so it fit the corner.

Home depot has rubber tube with a slit, used as insulation of copper, plastic etc it has sticky 2 way tape . I used it on a looowww cold air return because I kept hitting my noggin on it
