Just ordered a Bendpak XPR-10s two post lift. I do not trust my pad to be 4" and have some cracks near where one of the posts is going to go. What kind of area and how thick should the pad be that I replace it with? I and going to cut out and pour new concrete under where the lift posts are.

Thanks,
Mike

Called Bendpak and the guy told me 4" thick and the post needs to be 6" from the edge of the concrete. Pretty sure I want thicker and a bigger surface area than this.

Sounds like he is just reciting to you what their minimum spec is. Personally, I would want to go at least a foot deep, and minimum 12" from all sides of the lift posts. You'll need rebar to tie into the existing slab, assuming there is enough good concrete to tie into.
