Two post lift problems

I had a new two post lift installed about 3 months ago. It has worked perfectly since installation, but yesterday I was installing new brake lines and it just stopped lifting.
It lifted the car while I was installing the new line on the passenger side from the master cylinder to the front passenger wheel. I lowered the car to run the section of the line up to the master cylinder. When I went to raise the car again to get line in the final position for attachment, the lift would not raise.
I put a meter on the incoming wires to the lift and am getting 120V on each side.
I took a PVC line at pushed the emergency stop switch along the top of the lift to make sure that that was not tripped.
I did note that if I push the lift button with power off, the button goes in and out silently, but if I push the lift button when the power is on, you can hear a click when the button is pressed.
Anyone have any suggestion? I wanted to try to finish the brake job this weekend.

Is the motor running when you hit the up button or not. You need to figure out if the issue is electrical or mechanical / hydraulic. Sounds like you checked that the supply voltage is present, but that doesn't mean the motor is getting power.

No, the motor does not run. I have a feeling that the motor is not getting power, but as the lift is new, I don't want to take anything internal apart until I talk to the installer as I would assume that the lift is still under warranty.
Thought maybe I forgot something simple.
Thanks for the input.

Pull out brakers in braker panel. .My were melted , transferring power but not enough amps to lift motor to work.
Replaced braker panel and everything is working.

Good that you found the problem, but melted breakers? Scary business and a major fire risk. I recommend hiring a pro unless you absolutely understand what caused the breakers to melt and you know how to fix the problem. Be safe!

That is pretty much what I thought......that the motor is not getting power. I was planning on running a continuity test through the safety switch this morning to ensure that it is still in the NC position.
I did not test, but will this morning, the lift switch as when power is off the lift switch is silent whereas when power is on, you hear a click when the lift button is pushed. I therefore assumed that it was working.
After the switch, the power goes into some "box" with probably four wires coming out of it. Not sure exactly how that works or how to test. As the lift is only about 3 months old, I have also contacted the company for input. That is why I am hesitant to do anything inside the lift control box as I do not want them to tell me I have voided the warranty.

Let us know what you find out. There may be a relay in that box. Probably there is.

I changed out the Circuit Breaker as I had a spare from a different project…..no change.
I ran a continuity test across the safety switch and it is in the NC position (closed) so that is switch is fine.
Also ran continuity across the lift switch and it is open when switch is in the normal position and closed when the switch it pushed in, so that is correct.
I am thinking that something is wrong with the adjacent wire “box” that has seven wires coming out of it.

I would GUESS that if you hear a click when you hit the button, that it a bad motor starter relay

Your best bet is to pop off the cover on the motor and check for power there while hitting the button. On mine the overhead safety switch is wired in series with one of the hot legs. No relays.

Is the switch the part thats clicking, or is it a relay thats clicking in there? It could be that your switch broke.

Its been a long time since i pushed a lift button and I'm not sure how yours is set up. I know that some high amp switches will snap when closing to reduce arking on the contacts.

Talked to the OEM technician today and they are sending me out a new control box. Hopefully that will fix everything.
