I know this has been discussed but I have a question about lift wiring. I’m going to run 10-2 off a 30 amp breaker across my shop to where the lift will be. It will be a little over 50 ft. I don’t want to have a bunch of extra wire due to the cost of wiring right now. Is it acceptable to use 2 wires tied together for this run or would it be better off as 1 single pull from the breaker to the lift?

Are you talking about splicing it? If so ya that perfectly acceptable as long as it’s done in a rated junction box.
