My 30x50 shop is about to become reality and will be getting a two-post lift. Planning on a 10k. Any opinions here on Rotary vs. Bendpak?

Congratulations! I am a few years away on mine. I've read several threads complaining about Bendpak.

After 22 years in business and not committing to installing a lift because I thought it would be "in the way", I finally committed a space for a asymmetrical 10,000 pound Rotary. My nephew sells and installs them here in Southeast Texas. Now I consider myself extremely stupid for not installing one 22 years ago. The front area of my building (original shop) is 50x80 where I installed the lift.

We use Forwards at work - acquired them at various points and since they have always been decent, we stuck with that brand. I have heard good things about Rotary and less good things about Bendpak. All the best!

When we moved into a new facility a few years ago we added a couple of lifts. We chose rotary because they were us made and a sister facility was having issues with the Chinese made bendpak.

I've been happy with my Rotary SPOA10. Bought it and installed it myself in 2007.. moved it in 2016 to our new place and reinstalled it.

It's been flawless. Best tool I've ever purchased.

had my asymmetric 10k bendpak for a couple years and couldn't be happier. i paid someone to install it because it was almost a wash paying for freight (self-install) or having the retailer install (no freight cost). also, because i knew it was going to regularly support my 8500lb dually, i wanted there to be no question on it being installed right.

i've had zero issues with it. having spent a couple decades working on jacks and stands, it is my favorite tool in the shop. recently had to do a transmission at the track, on my back under the car and man do i prefer the lift and trans jack :) even doing brakes i lift the car up 18" or so and use a rolling seat.

no question rotary makes a great lift and *I* think the bendpak is every bit as good. that said, having a local company that can provide service or warranty help is a valid purchase criteria.
