Two way switch wiring

Sorry if its not garage related, but I have a ceiling fan/light combo in my house, with the ceiling fan being controlled by a two way switch, and the light with a single switch. I'd rather have that reversed. Could I just simply reverse the connections at the fan/light? i.e. disconnect the wires going to the fan and attach to the light. Both are on the same circuit breaker.

If your fan is currently switched from 2 different locations, that's a 3-way switch, not 2.

Yes, you can easily change it at the ceiling fan. You'll almost certainly find it wired with 14/3, so the hots will be a black and a red. Swap what's wire-nutted to these, probably a black and a blue.
