The site refresh has inspired me to dust off this old thread and post some updates.

It was 12 years since my brother passed away last month, so I thought it was time to re-organise the garage to fit the last of his toolboxes in.

He was a motorbike mechanic, and I've had his two smaller toolboxes at my place for years, but the big base cabinet has been at Dad's place.

That's in the middle of moving those two workbenches down towards the wall to make space. The two smaller toolboxes are on the right.

Here's the full stack...

With visions of my son using the drawers as a ladder and pulling half a ton of tools down on himself, I thought I'd better attach it to the wall.

Why buy something for 2 dollars when you can spend hours making a worse one!

No clocked screws here. Those concrete Tapcons don't like being overtightened.

A bit of 500kg paracord should keep it upright...

And the after pic...

With some floating shelves for helmets where the toolboxes used to live.

It's still a mess, but trending in the right direction.

Cheers Lyndon!

Kids are great thanks mate, growing up quick, full of energy, and good fun. They keep me young, and make me feel old at the same time.

Enjoy them while you can..... Mine are 31 and 26 now, and that time felt like it went past in a heartbeat.

And that makes me feel very old!

Yeah mate, I know the time flies, I try to remember that and enjoy every minute!

Mine are 6 and 9, and that time has just flown past.

How's the Yass property planning coming along? Let me know next time you're down that way and I'll see if I can head head out for a coffee/beer.

The other thing I did in my brother's memory was to take his bike and blow the cobwebs out...

And give the kids a cheeky little ride up and down the driveway.

Memories are special places, I have a few friends that float in and out of my thoughts quite frequently. As well as my dad. And the kids grown too fast...when we moved out here mine were 7 and 10, now both are parents and 27 and 30.......
BUT, I don't feel old....I just look old.

In other news of things that have happened since I posted last, I finally finished and delivered the garden bridge that I built for my mother-in-law (that I talked about in post #488)

Disassembled for final paint and to get it out of the backyard (wouldn't fit through the gate in one piece!)

And all glued up when I put it back together.

Believe it or not, this fit in the trailer was a fortunate accident...

Here it is in it's final resting place...
