I'd love to see all the pics in this thread because this looks like one hell of a garage, but all of the pictures other than the most recent post are missing :(

For future reference I use imageshack (yearly subscription fee) and I've never had an image disappear. $38 a year is cheap compared to having hard work spent documenting projects disappear. (I have a very picture heavy build thread of my car on another site)

I know, I know....although I blame PhotoBucket it is really my fault. A year or so ago PB "upgraded" some of their formatting options and I decided to take advantage of them. I also had so many pics that finding the one I wanted to post was too difficult so I set up different files/headings. This wisdom broke my links to the original files and they disappeared from JG. PB still has the pics but they are not showing in JG. I tried to get help from PB and the JG Mods but it was like talking to a wall. Basically...its your problem...not ours!"...SORRY Dude!

I am considering starting a new---old thread from start to now. Not sure if anyone would be interested enough to go through the work. The Shrine has been in 4 magazines now and I'm way behind in posting because of the frustration but............we'll see. Maybe if the Hill Country will get some rain I'll have a reason to set at the computer for a while and actually do it.

BTW...thanks for the compliments. They are encouraging!!

Huh....I started a whole new thread because I thought PhotoBucket had "removed all" of my pics when I didn't give in to their extortion! Apparently they have inserted a few pics as a .....tease.

The answer to your question is 23' Wide X 30' Deep X 26' High. I'll have measure the distance between the columns...nut'n unique....standard Asymmetric set up.
The lift is offset to one side to facilitate the electric stairs and toward the back of the lift area to allow more parking area.







Not the best shot but you can see how the lift is positioned forward allowing "something" on the lift and still have room in the rear for parking. The 2 opposing garage doors help with parking as well.....hope this make sense!

It just so happens that The Shrine resides in Kerr County Texas!

Anyway...good eye! I go to a lot of Hill Country car shows and Swap Meets. I found that particular "hanger" in Fredericksburg Tx. It is actually a tire mount to a...I think a '42 Chevy Stepside pickup. At least that's what the gentleman who sold it to me said.

When I picked it out I did not know that was even a tire hanger I just could tell it would do what wanted so......

Here are two other views before I mounted it.

Been getting a few PM's concerning my Electric Lift Stairs so here are a few pics and a narrative ....

They are somewhat out of order but it goes like this: obtained Big Box rolling stairs, removed rolling base, attached to pre-planned/designed space on upper cross walk (extra storage and leads to upper apartment/theater), extended manufacturers controller wiring to meet my needs, reinforced my upper 2 Post Lift points (both sides) and used that bracing to hang the lifting motor, attached cable from lift motor to bottom of stairs with a small block, plugged it into outlet for my Traffic light. The stairs are hinged to the base of the upper cross walk (2 - 2 X 12's). This was planned when the shop was designed...both, the stairs and the opening in the rails (STOP sign) as well as the the location of the 110v plug. Also, make note of how the lift is set away from the side of the walls. I knew what I needed and off-set the lift accordingly. It took me 7+ years to find the right stairs. As a rule, I keep them in the up position allowing more walking room around the lift. I wired them to be operated from the top or the bottom. There is another set of stairs, with a covered deck, on the outside of the building leading to the apartment/theater upstairs. The electric lift stairs are merely a backup in case of emergency.





























I have a similar set up, shown below, for my truck's camper and/or tool box. In this pic the tool box is up and the camper is on my truck. I had to extend the controller in the same way as I did for the stairs. It is a 4 wire controller line and was difficult to locate. I did find a 4 wire communication wire that met the gauge requirements. I can install/remove my full size camper shell, by myself, in about 30 minutes with this set up.
