I have a reznor UDAS and they specify type 3 exhaust pipe. I bought Z-flex and am having a challenge at a few spots. The first is the connection to the heater. The photo on the left shows the exhaust connection. and the photo at the right is the z-flex connector that's supposed to work. It fits over the exhaust but 1) the seal is only half on and 2) the band clamp doesn't tighten it down. I suppose some high temp silicone and some sheet metal screws will do the job. Have any of you used z-flex (stainless steel)? And have any of you run horizontal ducting with a UDAS or other separated combustion heater? Please describe, if so.
