Hey guys,
I know lots of canadian read this website. I bought ucoat it medium grey and uflek w/clear and had it shipped to me in Vancouver. The customer service with ucoat it was great. Yes, it was a pricey 70US to ship with UPS(on top of the $500 in products), and there was a $117 brokerage charge. However, once I opened the 5 gallon pails to check inventory, the medium grey paint was everywhere. Called ucoat it, and Tom (at ucoat it) it fixed the problem right away. He even sent out the new kit before ups picked up the damaged package.

Also, he was able to refund my $117 brokerage charges from UPS for my troubles.

Will be putting down the product in a couple of weeks, but so far, they have bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect.

Just allow a good 7-10 business days to receive the goods.

Will post pics once garage is painted.

Man I HATE UPS with a passion. I just had a note on my door from UPS today. The $450 amplifier and dynamat I bought on Ebay cost me $75 in shipping and now UPS wants $88 for brokerage. What a flippin' joke

Let us know how it turns out. I have heard lots of things good and bad about u-coat so I am curious to see how it turns out for you. I know what you are saying about ups we get a lot of things at my office from suppliers in the US and we stopped having UPS or Fed Ex do the customs clearance for us and have an independent broker do it and we save about 30-50% on brokerage fees.
One thing I have done in the past is to get a mail box at a place like mail boxes etc in Great Falls just across the US border from us and have the product shipped thier and then pick it up when I go down for the weekend. That way I dont pay any duty since it falls under my normal tax free declaration. plus I can pick up some beer for the Garage fridge cheaper than back home.

That's a damn good idea. Except for certain items, I don't think the 3hrs of extra drive time would make it economical for me. I often get pissed at UPS for their excessive brokerage charges when USPS doesn't even cost anything half the time.
I'll keep that in mind next time I want something large or expensive from the US.

Just a note, try to get the seller to ship by FedEx Priority Air service. With air service, FedEx does not charge brokerage. I just bought a Dewalt 18V cordless Jigsaw, complete with battery/charger from an Ebay seller. They shipped with FedEx air for the very reason I mentioned. I received it in two days, shipping cost $45 and it was a heavy package, and NO brokerage fees.
