Actually OP, U Coat It is a nice step up from some of the typical DIY coatings such as Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield, Valspar, QuikRete and etc. It's a better coating for the money, but not as nice as the commercial quality, high solids epoxy or polyurea coatings available today.
Most of their systems feature their water based epoxy color coat. It's what they like to recommend for residential and DIY applications due to the ease of installation. It's better than the typical EpoxyShield or Quikrete epoxy kits but does not compare to a good high solids system. They do have a 100% solids epoxy (Uclad-LV) which they market as the NASCAR flooring, but it's generally not their first recommendation for residential use.
We have had many, many calls over the years to supply materials to re-do Ucoatit floors. Shea is correct, their standard system is a mid solids water based epoxy.
