I’m in the market for a set of SAE flex head ratchet wrenches. I’m really hoping to find a set that is made in the U.S. Are there any other options than Snap-On?

Yes, Milwaukee Flex Head, and they are high quality wrenches.

*My apologies, I am mistaken. Milwaukee Flex Heads are not made in the USA, but they are darn good! :)

I would be very surprised to hear that Milwaukee flex head wrenches are made in the USA.

If they were it's a safe bet they would list the COO somewhere but I'm not seeing it on the product packaging nor their website listings anywhere.

If you want to trust AI or a customer review, I did see this at the big orange store...

They asked about USA made, Milwaukee doesn't make any wrenches in the USA.

So like the other response is a NO, currently I believe only snap-on is producing USA made ratchet wrenches. Proto used to make some, but they since switch to Taiwan.

Not even Snapon makes USA flexhead ratchet wrenches. Their offering is from Taiwan, sold under the BluePoint label.

I'm always amazed by the quest for made in the USA ratcheting wrenches. The best ratcheting wrenches come from Taiwan. :bounce:
Milwaukee ratcheting wrenches are made by Infar the last time I checked and are made in Taiwan.

Yes. sorry. duh! /facepalm
No biggie.
You’re technically not completely wrong.
At one time Proto did make them in the USA, but not currently and those were short-lived.
They were an unusual design with the ratchet housing being forked instead of the handle.
Here’s some pics from eBay. These are not mine:

Thank you all for your responses. I will have to do some research on the Taiwan made wrenches.

The Taiwan are pretty good depending on what you're doing. No brand lasts in my work, fine sand and dirt that works past the snap ring. Snap On's wrenches are a very poor design. The articulation knuckle is so thick that it interferes with getting it to sit on most bolt heads.
