Anybody have any experience with the Ucoatit floor coating product? Looking for something for the new shop floor, they quoted me a materials cost of $ 1300.00 for my 40 x 30 slab.

Realize that their basic product is only 43% solids, which means that fully 57% f what you pay for and apply will evaporate. So if you put it down 5 mils wet, after it cures it's 2.15 mils thick. And even that 2.15 mils isn't solid since the filler water leaves small hollow tunnels as the moisture migrates to the surface in order to evaporate.

I have used U Coat it in 2 garages. I absolutely would NOT recommend it.
It is over priced and under performs other products I have seen.
You can go cheaper and get same or better result. You could spend a little more and get way better result based on other floors I have seen.
Both floors I covered with U coat it were new construction that had cured and been acid washed. Both have peeled. When I called U coat it for the "Warranty" support, they gave me a BS request to send them samples of my floor.
In short, I think they stink.

I wouldn't recommend it either. I had it down in my shop and it was terrible. I just spent the $$$ to have it professionally re-done last fall...wish I had just done that to start with as it would've been alot cheaper in the end.

Cosmos, you are really going to have to decide how you want your floor to look and durability. There are many factors involved that can change the price of things. Any repairs to the concrete, surface prep, tools, do you want flakes, clear, non-skip, thickness and others. I used epoxy-coat around that range and am very happy, however, their sister company Performance Epoxy had problems with yellowing in the clear. There are lots of posts and threads on here about different epoxies. Read and research and decide what you want on "your" floor then we can help more.

I agree 100%.

~3yr old new construction garage floor with no oil, armor-all (Silicone), etc on it...

acid washed multiple times, followed their directions to the letter, let dry longer then they suggested.

Floor is peeling underneath all my car tires...

Same response from warranty, send samples. I did, got a free "patch kit" and they said if I had anymore issues I'd have to BUY patch kits.

I used U Coat It in my garage about 3 years ago and will never use it again! The concrete was about 10 years old and so I cleaned it several times, per the instructions. I have not had any peeling problems however it has yellowed in several places. Way overpriced for the quality...
