UHMW Top

Anyone using UHMW as a top on their work bench or tool box?

why? seems like it would be way too soft for regular bench duty(not to mention pricey)...unless you are sliding heavy stuff across it on a frequent basis, and even then i doubt it would be the best choice...

I cut three 2" thick pieces of HDPE for my Snap On base cabinet.

I used 1/2 UHMW in White as a counter top in my wifes craft room. She hasn't been able to hurt it yet.

I don't see why either wouldn't work. If I had it, I'd use it...
