Some great deals on this thread. I've got a question, not strictly a deal. But quite UK tools specific. Does anyone have a opinions on the US pro tools / Bergen tools. They seem ok quality and it seems like they have a lifetime warranty too. I appreciate they won't be as good as snap on / Mac. But some of the tools look good. Cheers

Yeah for the price they are really good.
US-Pro 3/4 impact set
Bergen 1/2 and 1 inch set impact socket set - Only broke the 19mm socket from the 1/2, used to get used daily in a HGV workshop, for about a year.

They are now starting to show wear as in the black coating peeling away, the Square drives been hammered.

Hi pickle.mk. They are cheap tools so low quality but often still usable. Same as Neilson, AM pro etc. They all look to rebrand the same tools. I think the lifetime warranty offered by the lower end tool companies does not reflect confidence in quality but assumes that no one will bother utilising it.

Tools of the old world is a good UK friendly thread worth a look if you haven't already.

They don't have any sort of warranty, most of what's sold is pretty good quality given the price.

Assuming your from the UK, Draper Expert especially the newer foam insert stuff is very good quality a lifetime warranty if you read up on it that they actually honour most of the time.

Expert by facom/britool expert good quality, step above Draper similar costs and a life time warranty they honour to the fullest.

My most used 1/2" ratchet is a US Pro long handle, I've beaten the sh*t out of it for years and it still works perfectly. Including jumping on it to undo hub nuts, etc. Not bad for the £14.95 I paid in about 2010.

A lot of the bergen/us pro sockets are the same casting as Sealey Premier (which has a lifetime warranty), I've got some for lesser used stuff like imperial deep sockets, but not abused them enough to comment on their durability yet. The sealey premier sockets are very strong, I've used them a bunch on a 1500nm gun with a 1/2-3/8 adapter and none have broken yet :)

+1 for draper expert, too.

I don't think so, I've never found one. They are typically sold through Amazon, eBay, independent budget stores, out of tool vans and at markets.

I've already got a mixture of snap on / Mac / draper expert / halfords pro. I was mainly looking for extra tools that won't get used too often. And for the money us pro / Bergen seem like good value. I've got a set of Bergen alloy wheel deep impact sockets that take a beating at work and they seem solid and robust. Thanks for your suggestions guys I'll take a look around

A few deals from Amazon.co.uk. I wanted to get the Stahwille pliers myself, but shipping to the US added another £10 just for those pliers alone.

I have the Elora flaring tool. It's pretty heavy duty, and made in Germany. It's nice.

The Osca hammers are made in Italy.

US Pro don't have a website, but neilsen does, neilsen also have a catalogue.

Only decent thing they sell is those Xi ON sockets, yet Bergen, us pro, sealey all sell the same stuff depending on where you look sealey are normally cheaper and have a warranty.

^^ Xi ON sockets look interesting. Do you know how they compare to the cheap 'twist socket' sets for removing rounded bolts?

Heyco 400924082 Combination Wrench Set K-400 8M £28.31
Amazon Warehouse. Condition = 'Used - Very Good'
Interesting selection of sizes K 400-8-M: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 17, 19mm

I have a mac tools set they're precision torque sockets I think they're really good.. I couldn't afford the impact versions been £300 New so I got the sealey equivalent for £30 never looked back.

They seem like a gimmick but I use them daily they're worth trying out.

As for the twist sockets I have never used them.

A few US Pro, Sealey and Neilsen tools are the same, but most of is unique.
