Hi jeff g, I posted about Flubit on the previous page:

Thanks for the tip on the screwdrivers. I managed to persuade a friend to get a set. They'll be the first decent tools he's bought. I bought a set for each of us so the postage was free. I bought them through Flubit actually. Flubit will beat Amazons prices on almost anything they sell. They use the same suppliers as Amazon so sometimes the stuff actually comes from Amazon but cheaper. I got the 2 screwdriver sets for £23.72 so saved £3.84 on the Amazon price.

I'm pleased to hear you like the Teng set. I posted about them in this thread a while ago:
This has to be hot! FFX are selling Teng TT1236 12 Piece Metric Comb Spanner Set for £21.70 It goes from 8mm to 19mm and comes in a case with removable lid for use in a tool box. If I didn't already have loads of spanners, I'd buy them myself.

The Stanley Sortmaster storage boxes have come down in price again on Amazon, now down to £7.98 each.

<a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002KHLRTE/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B002KHLRTE&linkCode=as2&tag=67616c6f6f70682e636f6d-21"><img src="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/611kDcH48VL._SL1000_.jpg" width="300px"></a>

Time to order a few more, I think! I find them really useful for storing crimp terminals with the relevant crimp tool

Amazon UK seems to be having a whole host of Hazet items at £4.30, mainly spanners and sockets.
They're all listed as add-on items so your order total will have to £20 or more.

Thanks for that, I actually had a few bits in my basket but was waiting to add a few more bits for free delivery. I picked up a 10mm ratchet spanner, a plastic tote and a small pump for £4 each

Cheers Van...

Picked up a few bits too. Wish I needed a 46mm socket, but I don't want to buy something just to make a couple of quid on it. Hope they all go to a good home.

That's a great price on the Wera set, I don't like their drive handles much personally but the bits are a deal at that price. I paid quite a bit more when I bought the same set a couple years ago.

Those Gedore plastic ratchets are great, I have had the 1/2" version for a couple of years and its so nice to use for fast assembly before switching to another tool for final tightening.

I've just ordered a Gedore plastic ratchet and a Carolus 6 in 2 socket adapter set myself. Are the Gedore plastic ratchets very strong?

The plastic ratchets are strong enough, you wouldn't brake it unless you tried, its not designed to be used like a standard ratchet, they are palm ratchets.

I havent heard of Padre tools before, are they good quality?
Yes, very good. A lot of their stuff is made by other companies.

I bought some Padre combination pliers and nippers that are made by NWS. I think Monte said the spanners were good as well.

They were going to base producing colored mid sections on the sàles of the black version but being the same producer not a particularly big issue to create them....

I was also told they are now looking into other add-ons to the industrial line up as well

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Justa quick update whilst I rememeber as a few of us posted about these Halfords industrial ranges a while ago when the Orange Green and Blue sets were released, well i said I had been told that there were other additions comming and it appears I've missed them as they are here , appologies if I've missed posts about them, ignore me :) I just forgot to post when I bought some more the other day and found a number of extras too... I Had the Black industrial Base and Top Box , so have just picked up two middle sections for £100 each Less 15% off workshop tools :) Nice price, I also picked up the orange top and bottom set for £299 les 15% so now have two stacks. they also had a deal on the 3 black items last week, They have also added two extra bolt on sections for the Industrial base units, a 4 drawer side unit, and a Small cupboard and drawer combo side unit to hang on the original industrial base. Nice additions, a little pricey at the moment, but not horrendous with 15% off...

But as if you needed proof that the managers do actually listen to feedback, they also now do a seemingly identical White top and bottom chest set in the industrial range, but it only has 5 drawers in each section instead of the current 6, this is a fantastic feature as both I and a number of others found the industrail drawers to be too small, or rather too many small drawers and would prefer less drawers with greater height and thats exactly what theyve done , but unfortunately as with all things new they come at a premium, trade price being £125 and £250 instead of the Equivalent £100 and £200.

If I didn't have the Black ones already I might be tempted at that premium , but I decided I can cut out the bottom of a couple of drawers and fold the remains down to make a couple of double depth drawers with double runners to boot so I kept it Orange and Black BUT MASSIVE PROPS TO HALFORDS FOR PRODUCING THE BETTER SIZED DRAWERS AND ADDONS!!!!!!

The lid is also improved with gas struts instead of folding hinges.

More great selections
Grabbed a couple of the saw file sets, its actually the right size for my saw and you can always use more files and the Sola level, never tried one before and 80cm is a length I don't have.

That seller with the Acesa stuff also has 3/8" ratchets that I'm about 90% sure are the same as the old style Facom round heads and some BMI long tapes, which are also good.

Nice first post !!!:rocker::thumbup:

Thanks,

Where did that pop up?? I think I'm full with two triple sets, but over £50 discount is a corker... and whilst I think the New White units are actually more practical in use, the 'additional " NEW item premium is a shame"

voucher code dosent work with Trade either which is a shame , but still a great code :)

Mine turned up and I'm very impressed with both for the price !

ALTHOUGH MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM WITH THE SELLER THE SIZE YOU WANT AS i WAS SENT A 1/2" VERSION!!! i ACCEPTED THIS AS I a) HAVE ADAPTERS ANYWAY AND b) HAVE THE CAROLUS SET TO BRING IT DOWN TO 3/8" OR 1/4"

The Carolus adapter acts as a nice sized extension section to use the same handle on 1/4" if you so wish @ 120mm or a 3/8" extension @ 65mm.
Whilst not its intended use it really is a handy piece of kit and The Ratchet Handle is rated at 70Nm rated.

The Other items available are very tempting too, I've just bought a dozen IRWIN XP clamps as a starter set but I'm going to grab a few Jorgensen one handed clamps as cheaper duplicates, I'll post them (XP) later as the supplier was much cheaper than most other suppliers particularly for the longer clamps.

But thanks again for helping me spend cash with your bargain suppliers posts :):shocking::shocking:
