As I'm a multi-skilled maintenance tech really so the small form factor pack it all in one compact package really appeals they tend to do so many slight variations on the theme now including redbull blue/red combo that it's hard to pic the exact version you want when I'm not affluent enough to be able to "Gotta Get E'm All" lol though I'd love too as I'd love to 'collect' tools as well as use them when it really comes down to it thanks for the discounted heads up...

It's a cracking little set Inc. That 360 rotator ratchet...I'm a big fan as I've fone at least one job on my car where I needed exactly that functionality. I've got the same nano set with the standard peat head ratchet...which is great in its own right but I really fancy a 360 rotator ratchet

It's a bit late but I forgot about this great.thread Halfords have had their half price on certain tools Inc. Socket sets. .. but this set was either ghd loss leader or was already on standard half price when the global half price deal struck so ended up at about 75% discounted. ..I know most will already be sorted for socket sets but this basic 3/8 drive ratchet and extension/socket set.. was an unbelievable £12,50 or £10 Trade....fantastic value for money for a quality basic set.

Arrived without wall board and the larger two handles, so an incomplete set, will see what they say about it.

I ended up keeping the set as it was and they sent me a set of Carolus ratchet spanners in a nice meral box FOC, they are Taiwan made but not the best out there. Its up to me to buy the missing handles (ordered one already) and the wall board, which I won't botther getting

The spanners arrived this morning, overall they seem good quality and are comfortable to hold and use. I'll need to with until i remove a soft or rusted bolt to say for definite if the hex end is any better than a bi hex. Its a definite plus that they don't skip any sizes.

Halfords have a sale on (again) for their socket sets, with the 200 piece now at £150 for anyone with a trade card.

Also good news is that the sockets in their tray sets seem to be changing from 12 point to 6, should help those dealing with rusted fasteners. No change on the photos online but i saw them yesterday in store the 1/" with 6 point and the manager confirmed they had 6 point 3/8" in the storeroom.
