I ordered a 'Like new' one for £53.32 and it arrived today. It had been opened, but that was all – excellent!

Good stuff

A while back I opened a business account on Amazon which does seem to give access to more industry type listings.
Also registered on amazon.jp which has the option of English translation page and access to stuff not generally imported to Europe.

Where these £16 at the time you posted ?

(As you know, on Amazon when people buy the price goes up in increments and falls when they don't)

Yep, these were, and still seem to be at £16. Seems like a long delivery time though. I thought at first these were the really small sizes but these seem to be the proper 200mm tools. I have seen the same price mind on the Toolstop site and they seem to have stock, if you want to avoid Amazon

Its got to be a special from Channellock, trying to generate some brand awareness as their stuff is not often seen here, most of the trades I work with have the German brands, since the prices are usually similar. Bought a set anyway.

£16 is worth it for the vise grips alone.

Especially considering what some will happily pay for the Snap-on version. Have not actually used the grip ons myself, is the hype justified ?? I use an old pair of Petersens and a new Stanley Fatmax when the need arises.

Not really imo, I have 2 black and orange grip ons and although they're good I wouldn't pay the money they ask for them off the snap on van. The Milwaukee vise grips are some if the best you can get now I think, facom do some good ones too but they're dear for a set of pliers.

Milwaukee sure do some nice handtools now, i like the loop on their visegrips, very handy instead of the usual on/off messing to get the correct tightness, i got the Fatmax version that has the same loop but was a couple pounds cheaper.

Screwfix Clearance. Approx half price.

Wiha 8 Piece Torx Ball End Key Set £9.99

Wiha Magic ring Metric Hex key set £14.99

Both available in Lincoln, Notts area.

Thanks for the tip, collected my Torx keys today!

Really decent quality - much heftier than my Wera, which are the only other ball torx I have, and a better complement to my PB Hex keys than PB torx, which don't go up to T 40!

Probably worth full price, and I'm feeling like I've stolen them for £9.99!

I'm surprised you can get a non-Chinese tool set so cheaply @ £13.33 ex tax

There's always a non Chinese option, and some of the prices can be quite reasonable if you shop around, but for pliers that usually means Knipex or VBW online! I can usually get Knipex online for the same price as Chinese in the shops. No wonder shops are disappearing!

This would be a good price for the pliers alone, awesome with the other bits!

Not the first time I've seen cracking deals on Amazon, but you have to keep looking as the prices can fluctuate!

And as ever... you snooze, you lose!

Vessel 935 Megadora Thru-Tang Screwdriver Set (Pozi and Slotted) (not phillips)

935_ISZ.jpg

'OnlyQualityTools' have the set for auction with a starting price of £24.99. The last few sets have had only one bid so the buyers have been getting the set at the starting price. Each time a set sells they put another one up for auction. I guess it's their way of clearing stock.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vessel-9...916526?hash=item56ad8d75ae:g:-MwAAOSwl8NVcBaI

They are also selling non thru tang with a starting bid of £19.99

Ebay seller is doing a can of liqui moly engine flush and diesel purge for less than £12 delivered. I usually run the engine purge through for 10 mins when i change my oil, its a good deal for that and the fuel treatment;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262957105768

Amazon are doing an add-on deal for wera T30 impact bits on orders over £20, the bit is less than £4. You can get a pack of 5 for less than £20 which is now cheaper than ebay. These are great if you work on VW's;

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0055R2TZ2/?tag=atomicindustr-21

Bahco file & rasp set;

https://www.screwfix.com/p/bahco-homeowners-files-for-wood-metal-8-pack-of-2/62943

Less than $8 for a file and rasp made in Portugal, same files as what snap-on sells.

Toptul extra long spanner set;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOPTUL-1...649811&hash=item3b0a814047:g:APsAAOSwXfVa05-b

£50 or best offer (£10 postage)

Could maybe get away with offering £50-55 all in, bargain for that set really.

Halfords have an extra 20% off some tools and metal cabinets until the end of today.
The cabinets are already 50% off which is not that unusual but the extra 20% has convinced me to upgrade one of mine.

Seems that Lidl are selling spray lubricants made by liqui moly at the moment, spotted them last night but they were on clearance so not sure how long they've got left in store. There was a ptfe, silicone and light oil spray for about £2.30 each, you would be paying £8-10 a can for the same stuff with liqui moly's own name on it, the spray set up and the cans are pretty much identical other than the branding on it, they make great stuff and i try to buy and use them as much as possible;

It’s also the old model, now replaced by the ‘QR-N’ with fine teeth!

Still a seriously good buy at £23 though! I snoozed, I lost!!!

A few bits and pieces in the Wickes clearance which may be of interest.

A number of items are location dependent, whereas some are delivery only which may only be worthwhile adding on to a larger order due to the £7.95 delivery charge.

https://www.wickes.co.uk/Products/Tools+Workwear/Tools-Clearance/c/1022014?q=%3AtopRated&page=0&perPage=120

I've just bought a couple of packs of ten Bahco sandflex hacksaw blades at £5 per pack.
I realise you can get this 50p per blade unit price by buying a 100x pack, but I'm realistically never going to need that many blades and buying them individually from local shops usually costs a few pounds per blade.

Hey Chaps,
I haven't posted in a while, but I thought I'd share this gem I found.

Amazon are having another price fart... This time on large sizes Facom 55 series
deep offset double end ring spanners. They are normally priced about £35-£40 each.

26mm x 28mm only £14.69
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00966RS6S/?tag=atomicindustr-21

30mm x 34mm only £12.03
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00B1C1FP0/?tag=atomicindustr-21

And super bargain... 27mm x 30mm only £6.71
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00B1C1DI4/?tag=atomicindustr-21

Cheers.

The prices on Amazon seem to go up and down more often than a whores drawers on a Saturday night!

Best time to buy seems to be when there’s only one of something in stock.

Just picked up a Stahlwille Corona ring spanner in 30 x 32 mm for just over £12.

I’d have posted a link here, but it was the last one.

It’s well worth searching your brand of choice regularly to see what’s being discounted.

Just been buying some Williams (USA) bits, and the prices vary from stupid high to awesome value!

Nice prices on the Facom though. I’ve got a couple of those spanner’s in A/F sizes and they’re superb. Think they’re still French (or maybe USAG) made too!

Yes definitely keep an eye out. Amazons algorithm is certainly a weird one.
I've had some great Hazet and Facom stuff that's normally £30-£50 for less
than £7

Interesting about the one left thing. I also picked up a mains powered
Inspection light that is £17 now for only £3.70 and that was the last one.

The only trouble knowing Amazon have these price farts is that you can
Spend (waste) quite allot of time looking.

I agree on the 55a series spanners, very nice indeed.

Irwin rebranded NWS Pliers at approximately half price from a quick look at what other suppliers are selling for.

Bent Nose Pliers @ £9.20 delivered
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IRWIN-Vi...4in-LANYARD-/362174882659?hash=item54534e2363

ErgoMulti Pliers @ £15.20 delivered
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IRWIN-Vi...8in-Lanyard-/312057019169?hash=item48a80c3b21

Others available from the same supplier.

I generally don't purchase Irwin products as I don't agree with the company approach to business (I haven't purchased the above) but thought these were a good price and may be helpful for others.

Padre Tools 13mm t-handle;

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KJMDD4O/?tag=atomicindustr-21

Excellent price for a handle made in germany, facom would want around £30 for the same thing.

Set of plastic trim tools for less than £9, mine came last week and they've been good, decent thick plastic;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/11pc-Car...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Pack of 10 pocket sized screwdrivers for £3;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-LONG-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Apart for the handle shape they feel pretty much identical to the snap-on one i have, just no clip or magnet. Very handy.

2 pack of wurth rost off penetrating oil, i like it better than any other spray i've used, some places want £8 a can;

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-WURTH...694277?hash=item5d6db76605:g:p6cAAOSwImRYmei2

They also have a good price on the Wurth brake cleaner.
