If it doesn't work for you try - Honey - It's a discount code app for Chrome that's what made it pop up in the first place.

Just tried honey. HOLIDAY70 'You saved $1.50'

There must be some variables, region, stock levels or something that decides if the code will work. Thanks though. Hopefully it works for anyone who wants the spanners.

I had the same result as mr.lemons, a saving of £1.50.

I had a look on Amazon.com and some of the reviews weren't favourable, basically saying the quality wasn't what it used to be and the heads were larger and would go floppy. I'm wondering whether they are the same as the Halfords ones. Under Halfords Advanced they brought out a new 12 piece set that's also £75.

Yeah they're almost 2x thicker than the Gear Wrench Taiwan ones these newer ones are made in China and yeah just not as good.

https://imgur.com/ZeborFX

All 10mm

Left is the Taiwan made Gear Wrench Ratchet Spanner
Middle is Chinese made Gear Wrench Ratchet Spanner
Right is a German DIN Ratchet spanner

The thickness is same on both ends.

Im pretty sure I bought these a while back and these are very good for the price, haven't tried the Halfords flex ones.

I mean Gear wrench black edition so the paint will come off so probably best to go with the Halford ones.

I use the Halfords flex and they are fine. A bit chunky as noted but functional.
The £75 set is £56 with trade card.

I'd be tempted if I had a trade card, maybe I'll wait for a 15% off offer.

To be honest I'm only a DIYer that likes to tinker and have all other types of spanners imaginable but have never really needed a flex head so never bought any.

Are these good quality as I need some decent pliers

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NWS are direct competitors of Knipex so yes very good quality.

I also have a similar set in a different finish and the thin plastic handles.

Those plier sets are an excellent deal. Here's some more Amazon deals. As usual, there's usually only 1 left in stock:

£2.01 Bondhus 5mm ball end screwdriver: https://amzn.to/2C8K0It
£2.96 Bondhus 9mm ball end screwdriver: https://amzn.to/2PXtcqE
£2.30 Facom T15 Torx screwdriver: https://amzn.to/2LMzu92
£2.52 Facom T15 Torx Plus screwdriver: https://amzn.to/2PWgFDK

The following are all Facom fluorescent screwdrivers. Easy to find in the dark!
£3.03 Facom T27 Torx: https://amzn.to/2NzHThY
£3.08 Facom T30 Torx: https://amzn.to/2PZ2Ogf
£3.29 Facom T40 Torx: https://amzn.to/2N4VBfS
£3.10 Facom PZ3: https://amzn.to/2oBel93

Finally, it's not the biggest bargain price but it's a good price for this set of hex keys from Facom. On the worst bolts I will go for my Bondhus keys over these but the Facom set is what I use most of the time as the holder is just so much better: https://amzn.to/2oqZlue

Now sold out:
£6.39 Set of Bondhus torx drivers with stand T6 to T20: https://amzn.to/2PugmPJ

£31 now, I’ve not heard of Bondhus before but would like a good torx set, can you get ballend torx similar to the Allen key type?
Bondhus are excellent. Their tools are a very tight fit so I sometimes have to gently hammer the tool into the bolt. Being a really tight fit has been a lifesaver on some rusty stuff.

Bondhus do make ball end torx which they call Ballstar. I bought this screwdriver set here: https://amzn.to/2Pp8TRV
I find the handles on the bigger sizes far too chunky for my liking.

This wrench set would be better buy: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151879890909

Prime Tools are well recommended. I've used them a few times myself.

That’s very helpful, I do have torx bits in my socket sets and a screwdriver set from Wera but I think the ball end set of keys will be a very useful addition. I’ve used Prime Tools a few times as their prices and service seem pretty good

I’ve got a couple of small Facom sets and love them so might compare thier ball torx against the Bondhus. I obviously hadn’t searched properly [emoji53]

Just checked and staggered to see the 4 plier set selling for £128 now!

I got my Padre branded NWS for £18 amazon has a weird way of selling things, if something is low in stock and not getting any-views it will go down in price everyday normally £2 normally to around 20/30% of the listed value.

I guess it's the same product but I am pleased the heavy duty side cutter was included and not the standard type

Brilliant. The grips look more like proper NWS grips.

Cant loose them, i have spares in my breakdown tool box and roller cart for around the workshop with the same in. Need a bigger box but being told im too old and need to start reducing as im spending more time in an office nowdays.

But im in florida for a month so as long as the place dont burn to the ground then who cares its all insured, and if it does ill retire early cause i aint buying it all again. IMG-20180906-WA0004.jpegDSC_0209.jpg1537191194029.jpeg

Bought that set of Facom hex keys, very cheap for the larger sizes if you need them, can always use a bit of pipe to break the fastener loose.

Nice spot!. The Facom keys have gone already (not to me) along to 2 sets of the stubby hex sets (nice to see a 7mm included for once!).

That Facom set was a real bargain with it going up to 19mm. If anyone still wants hex keys for regular use then I'll repeat my recommendation for these: https://amzn.to/2oqZlue <- I really like the holder

That stubby set is down to £8.522 now!

It struck me that what is needed to spice up this thread is an online tool to find Amazon UK bargains - I thought I’d found one here on money saving expert:

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cheap-amazon-loopholes/

HOWEVER - when I use it, although some deals do pop up (looks like Silverline is having a fire sale with some items being just about worth it at a penny!), the gold is hidden amongst other items which are not discounted within the parameters set by the online tool!

Could some of you guys have a play and let me know how to use it / diagnose the issue?
