Bargain high quality set of spanners - I have literally just had to have a stern word with myself after almost pulling the trigger.

I already have sets of Britool RJM (the late 60’s / early 70’s ones), Facom 40 OGV’s and also now Facom 440’s, all metric!

I tried this link as I was after some cheap circlip pliers and found internal and external Knipex items for £7 & £8 so pretty happy (they've now gone back up to £30ea) but here are a few more cheap options:

Knipex internal bent circlip pliers £5.99: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0002GV3SA/?tag=atomicindustr-21

Knipex internal straight circlip pliers £7.26: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0002BUYKS/?tag=atomicindustr-21

I might bookmark that search and try again next time I need something specific so appreciate the post :)

But how are you getting it to work? It just shows stuff with no discount when I do it.

Well both those offers have reverted to higher prices almost immediately!

any tips for that money saver link? i tried it but cant seem to find any steals?

I just tried searching for specific items such as 'circlip' and got quite a few hits, then just scrolled through the search results. Not an exact science but I managed to order the pliers at the search prices at the time so worked for me.

I only have 2 full sets of combination spanners, ranging from 6-22 6-24, then a random set like 8-10-13-17-18-21-22.
One stubby set 6-21
Only one combination ratchet spanner set, 8-19.
then a set deep offsets ranging from 6-36mm skipping 26mm.

I might watch out for a Facom 41 set to go on sale, as I dont really own a lot of Facom.

You have way too many sets especially if they're all Facom.

Only 2 sets of facom 1 set of french 440s they are lovely, never used them. And a set of facom ratchets, best set of ratchet spanners ive ever bought i recommend them to everyone,ok they aint cheap, but as a hgv engineer they have never failed and they are 5 years old now they are 7-34 full set.
Then i have 2 sets of allen usa spanners and k-d usa spanner all 3 sets look identical feel identical just have a differant name on them, they all came in an excellent foam tray, i was trained by an ex plane engineer so organisation, shadow trays ,anything to stop foreign object damage basically. If ya look in a draw and see a gap ,it could bring a plane down.
The 1st set was given to me by my mentor so i could see the gaps when working , ive never lost a tool using this method and being dislexic i can open a draw and miss gaps easily, so his training was excellent.
Sorry i digress, im easily distracted.

Colin

Ok with a bit of searching, I’ve managed to find some results - it seems that you do have to give keywords and be prepared to sift a little.

So I left all parameters standard and used the keyword ”Knipex”, first I looked in the DIY section, then I looked in the car and motorbike section

First up, randomly I got a Bahco wire stripper available in 3 sizes -

160mm: 59% off / £11 delivered
200mm: 71% off / £16 delivered
240mm: 73% off / £19 delivered

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bahco-2233D-160-Duty-Stripper-160MM/dp/B0001IX9CM/ref=sr_1_3?s=diy&ie=UTF8&qid=1538829527&sr=1-3&keywords=Knipex&refinements=p_8%3A50-100

Next, I found this Knipex multi-core wire dismantling tool for a few £s cheaper than eBay, although the deal was less than the 50% lower limit specified in the search tool
:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01BPW2C6Q/?tag=atomicindustr-21

Next, I tried searching for Bahco - I came across this 1/4” drive ratchet and socket set for £20 delivered!!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bahco-Socket-16-Piece-4-Inch-Drive/dp/B000Y8T42I/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1538831315&sr=1-2&keywords=Bahco&refinements=p_8%3A50-100

There’s quite a few more deals more so have a look!!!

They went down to £45.48 so I had them at that, don't need another set of standard length spanners but will probably keep them in the work van, they can replace a Teng set that skips sizes.
Down from £180 retail, so yeah they should be good, I have some spanners from Heyco my self very good, the Maxline are made out of some very good steel making them really strong.

Also it seems they're gunna stay at that price for a little bit.

Toolstop is clearing Hitachi angle grinders for £34, but only have 110V left
https://www.toolstop.co.uk/hitachi-g-12stx-angle-grinder-115mm-600w-p73050?nosto=frontpage-nosto-1

This is a few pounds cheaper than I have seen elsewhere.
Or £49 with 30 decent discs, 20 cutting 10 grinding, in 240V
https://www.toolstop.co.uk/hitachi-...p73485?nosto=nosto-page-product1&refSrc=19897

Which I think is a pretty good deal, they are not the best grinders, a little underpowered but I have had one for about 3 years and used it hard cutting brick and stone with a diamond disc with no problems.

Wow. I ordered two sets for £32.66. Some sort of promo was applied.
In stock on October 20, 2018. They may decline the sale but definitely worth a try.
Thanks for posting.
