Good afternoon guys and gals.
Finally brought our first home 2 weeks ago and within 3 days managed to pick up a second hand 12x10 shed! £450 later (which I thought was good considering its log lap) I have myself a rather large shed in bits sat in the garden!
Next month I'm wanting to build a base before the weather goes rubbish but with DIY being new to myself (although I am a fully qualified car technician) I'm not too sure what to do for a base.
The shed is heavy and the contents even more so. The shed wont be there forever with the hope of a double garage one day but will be there for a good 5 years MINIMUM I'd imagine. So I'd rather not use concrete for that reason. I was hoping to use concrete blocks but I'm unsure for the following reason.
The area the shed is going to sit is mostly on a concrete pad, then a small section on soil. Now reading online people are saying to dig down when on soil, put a membrane down and use gravel etc but where I'm on different surfaces I'm unsure.
Will add a photo of said area in a moment which hopefully paints a clearer image of my situation.
Many thanks,
Adam
