Had to show this to my wife ... so now anything I'll be doing will seem "oh so reasonable" ...Thanks a lot for posting and making me "look good"...

It confirms that when one has a "certain budget" one can do ANYTHING ... It is an amazing "garage", great post !!!

I wonder how he keeps the water inside the boat house from freezing in the winter? THat lake he is on is sold ice during the winter.

He probably has an aeration or bubbler system down there. He seems to have thought of everything else....

Very kewl although kind of funny as well one of the larger manufacturers of Fiberglass boats actually has a huge collection of classic wood boats.

Most boathouses can lift their boats out of the water in winter/bad weather as well as having garage doors come down to the water level. At least at this level of expense they would.

I don't know if it's just my location but I can't see the video, just comes up with "Sorry the requested video cannot be found".

Any idea if it is on YouTube or anywhere else?

My barn has that kind of overhead height and could have lifts to shuffle items around but those hoists get pricey quickly in the capacity he mentions.

Also, my hilltop location lacks the water supply his has beneath it. Glad too. My classic building is framed in hand hewn white oak which probably wouldn't last all that long with the constant exposure to water.

Fantastic facility and contents nonetheless!

Actually White Oak is one of the traditional choices for the backbone of a wooden boat, and considered very rot resistant. Red Oak on the other hand...
