Ultra Specific Wrench Set Help

Without being able to go much into detail besides "who knew the best and coolest engineering project for undergrads was reserved to those that have experience working with machinary, electrical, and HVAC ", I'm going to be working with a lot of industrial lego pieces that are all fastened with 12pt ranging from 6mm to 13mm and a 1/4" to 3/8" (the rest being 6pt that can be reached with an adjustable wrench and/or socket easily).

Majority are around flanges and caps that are tightly packed next to one another, so I need a double box end offset/flex head ratcheting wrench that are equal size on both sides where one side is FIXED and the other side is ratcheting that are 12pt on BOTH sides. I do want to try to keep it as low cost as possible as well but I'm having trouble finding such style of wrenches.

I want to try and find this type of set of wrenches because i need to be able to carry them on me hands free at all times with some electrical tools as well. I would rather not carry a set of ratcheting and a set of fixed at the same time since it would be too much space and weight.

Tool finding gurus i call upon thee to lend me a hand please!

looks a bit spendy to me, and it doesn't have all the sizes you're looking for. sure you need a 9mm ???

Not too sure on the 9mm, but im sure i can squeeze a normal style ratcheting if need be.

If your over in the US then Gearwrench make long DBE's in 12 point with a fixed ratcheting end and a standard box end. You might be able to buy them in singles.

Armstrong would have been perfect but thats definitely a hefty price and probably not made anymore since armstrong is no more, Gearwrenches would work too if they had at least a 15 degree offset to them.

Hopefully someone finds something along those lines? I'm seeing some of the single armstrongs on ebay but not enough of them to fill what I would need. Thank you to those that have found any so far!

try searching Ebay with just the part number and "wrench", leaving out brand name. I find it works sometimes when sellers have listed the item without brand name (or misspelled brand name.)

ie: "54-510 wrench"

Snap on ratcheting box speed open end? Not sure how small they go, but look like a helluva set for fitters.
After all, I find these intriguing and need a review.

another way to search for an individual item on Ebay is to just use the size and manufacturer's name.

ie: "Armstrong 10 wrench" (omitting the "mm" from the search string)

The broader the search parameters, the more return results you'll get.
I have found a LOT of onesie-twosie sockets that way when filling holes in incomplete sets.
Sellers will leave out part number from the listing, or brand name, or (as noted above) misspell the brand name.

might even try:

"Armstorng wrench" (and/or any possible variants thereof.)

(My favorite is "Herbrand" "Herband" "Hebrand". There are also always fun ones with "Thorsen".)

Unless this is the first year of the project;
Your instructor knows which tools to buy.
If you are afraid to ask your instructor, any post grad student can tell you the pros and cons of what they accomplished the task with. Your view of what might be needed is not forged from experience.

Reinventing is just for reinvention sake.

Only tools provided are standard/metric non-ratcheting double offsets, which would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that each flange has about 15 fasteners on them and that everything has to be taken apart to be inspected/cleaned/rebuilt/replaced as this project laid dormant for years. There is a box filled with tools and a back shop where things are rebuilt/parts made and the supervising grad over this project, mechanically inclined as well, recommended bringing my own small set of wrenches and electrical tools as the box is shared among 8 other projects at the same time with the box always missing the one thing you need. I'm allowed about $150 compensation for any tools I buy since all specialty/odd tools and equipment are already there.

The supervising grad hasn't worked on this project before and the grad that started this project is years long gone with a box of mixed up notes and folders left behind so I guess its now a "first project". I also have a deadline to get this back and running to start running experiments so if I can save some time, especially during the semester, the time saved would be worth it. I'm just trying to find a set where I don't need to carry a lot and can get things done faster and I definitely don't want to spend Armstrong money.

I'll have to try playing around then on the searches, otherwise I may just go with a set of fixed and a small set of cheaper ratcheting and just deal with the extra weight.

Only reason im trying to avoid sockets is because some sections have extremely little room while others are nice and open.

Could just take a torch to them and give them have at 15 degree offset. If you are using them in a lab setting, they should still be plenty strong enough for flange bolts.

Or for that matter, weld up some custom wrenches using a cheap angled box wrench, and some standard gearwrench ratchet wrenches. Cut the open ends off and weld them together.
