In order to fill a could of gaps in a socket set, I bought a couple of 1/4" unbranded made in U.S.A. sockets for cheap ($1 each shipped) from what seems like a surplus dealer on eBay. Out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone would know why a socket wouldn't have a brand and/or if they knew who made them. They seem like typical Danahar/Apex but that's just a guess.
They don't have a spectator finish but probably from being in bags for 10 years or so OR perhaps they are 2nds and they didn't get the last step of manufacturing which could have been the brand being lasered on. In any event, they seem like they will serve nicely rounding out my set for a buck.
