This post story is dedicated to GJ member Honcho from Wash. DC near Sodom & Gomorrah; (I hear you big time coming from Cow Town). He wrote a post a few days ago called new old stock Easco coming from the above company located in central "Ahia" that I had to check it out.
Sometimes your 6th sense kicks in and mine was working overtime thinking I had better take some pictures outside the building because some little voice inside my head was telling me they would not let me take my camera inside the building. (must have been the 10,000 cameras all over the place being my first clue).
When you first enter this large industrial warehouse you are under the watchful eyes of the staff, you must sign in and then they give you a badge to wear at all times; upon leaving you must sign out and give up your badge. I spoke with a very nice staff person that helped me out and then walking into the large area I was greeted by another very nice lady named Leigha that showed me the ropes as they say.
I wanted so much just to take a few tool pictures because you guys would go ape **** but Leigha said it was against all their rules so no inside pictures sorry about that.
Finding tools took some time because they are spread out all over (not in any one area) which makes for one large hunting trip; and just when you turn a corner you may find boxes of tools with every name under the sun. I found one box with two dozen new old stock Thorsen speeder handles, tons of KD NOS, Wright, Craftsman, proto etc. (lots of old names).
Prices were not cheap at least in my book but you could ask which is something I did. As I was turning a corner I spied two cardboard boxes filled with 1/2 drive sockets (mind you either the tools were used or old stock never used). I asked how much and they told me $4.00 per socket which was too rich for me, I countered with $2.00 per socket and they said ok!
I bought a small box of sockets that will at least help me to fill my hanson sets with some great names so I was very pleased.
