Is something like this safe to just put on the floor in the garage?

I'm looking to get something as an auxiliary heater to my future mini split in the new shop.

What does the install manual say?

Putting that on the floor leaves it susceptible to dust/chips/**** and likely doesn't provide adequate airflow.

I'm sure it says hang it from the ceiling or off the wall. This is on marketplace and I don't have the instructions but I'm sure that's what they are.

Good point about sucking up chips and debris

I always hang them on the wall. I don't think they'd distribute air very far from the floor.

Yeah I know. I just want to have flexibility, move it around and put it away in the summer. I can always stick it on top of a workmate or something like that

21 amps element @240 vac 10 gauge cord 30 amp breaker
Screw 4 casters on the bottom keep it off the ground and moisture also easier to move.
Since it doesn't have elements like toaster and prop fan thoughs fan motor are probably sealed ( no vent holes take a look)

Those heaters usually work best when they're up higher and blowing heat down. There's also less stuff immediately around it for the heat they put out when they're hung. If it's only for auxiliary use you'd probably be better off using one or two of the normal portable style that plugs into a regular outlet and use then where you need them.
