Undecided on how to finish this

Trying to come up with a way to finish the small exposed area at the end of the small roof over my garage doors. It is such a small area, I don't think it would look right to use the vinyl siding that I'm using for the rest of the exterior. I was also considering covering the interior "triangle" space with a piece of coil stock but it is difficult to create a triangle piece to fit, and also be water tight. I was thinking of using some of the beaded soffit material I used for the soffit to fill this space, What do you think?

The beaded soffit looks good......but I see issues with water getting trapped on top of the bottom board and going down the grooves in the beaded soffit......

Tough one....and a good question....

You really need a single piece of solid material to put there.....

A lot depends what kind of vinyl siding your using.....

ok....I'm really feeling your pain.....of all posts I have looked at tonight....this is the longest one I have spent time on...........

Complications are....

Roof is done....drip edge is on.....and you have that 1x6 at the bottom.......

Have to sleep on this one.....

i'd cap it using the same colour aluminum flat stock you will use for the fascia, you will have to make it out of 4 pieces to cover that:)

I was going to use a drip edge along the top of the bottom 2x6 to help in keeping the moisture out. One piece of coil stock was my first choice but had real issues trying to make a triangle with 3 return bends, hard to do plus making it waster tight. I actually feel with some "j" channel around that beaded soffit, and some caulk, I can keep the water out.

You really need to use solid coil and bend it,even if you have to trash 3 attempt.
Bird boxes are allways finished that way.
Vinyl expands and contracts with temp changes (so you can't use j channel on the bottom as a rain gutter).

cap the outside edge with a piece of facia stock bent with a brake, give it a large flange on the inside triangle then Ice and water shield over the inside triange, then the bead board. This would make it water tight and the bead board would make it look good.
