I had an area like that, but got rid of the porch when I did an addition. I was going to put some of that corrugated shed fiberglass just under the deck, and leave it on an angle so water would run off.

I have seen a product for putting under the deck boards to direct the rain water away. But I don't know where, most likely in HandyMan magazine.

The product that does under the decking is called DrySpace. I havent used it but its a system of plastic channels and sheet material that spans between the joists to shed the water.

Perfect opportunity to pour a slab and have a shed under ye old deck out back. I used to keep all garden related items under the deck, enclosed some of it and put rock down. I couldn't enclose all of it...my dogs kept themselves under there.

This is what im thinking of doin. all that im gunna put under there is the yard tools and bikes. ill probably just keep the mower in the garage. it can brave the elements, but itll be fine inside.

what else besides corrugated shed fiberglass can be used that will hold up to the elements / water?
