Anyone have any recommendations on under hood drop lights that hang from the hood?

Depending how your lighting is setup at your shop, the hood sometimes drains out a good amount of light. I know I have seen some like 18 inch flurocent lights that you can hang from the hood, and was thinking that it would be nice to kinda replace the light you are losing from the hood being there.

The hood on my Impala is big, and it would be nice to have something that could maybe grab from the sides, else it would be too far forward for most things I would be doing.

iiibdsiil,

The under hood lights are 25 watt 44" with a telescoping bar. I will see if I can find more info on how long to bar opens too. I do know the bulb can be replace with a long tube bulb for any hardware store and come with a 25' cord. You can also remove the telescoping bar if you want to use it as a hand held drop light.

I got one of the smaller version of Danno 's then I bought one of those magnetic bases for it.I really like it fits into tightspaces and don't burn your hand when you come into contact with it.

Yup, battery power is good. A couple simple reflector lights with floods in them clamped on the hood would be good or as was said flo trouble light with magnetic base.
