Under Hood Light

Went to a friends shop to do some work on one of his customers cars and was introduced to the under hood lights. Was most useful item I have seen in a while and wondered why I didn't have one. So now of course I want to get one.... The question is which one to buy?

So with that said what brand/model does everyone have, have they used in the past, and how do they like it?

I believe he told me his was a snapon and was about $200 or $300, not looking to spend that much, but I have several Bayco products and believe them to be great quality so I looked them up and found the BAYSLR-2120 for $89 shipped and sounds like a pretty good deal.

There is a small modification I would make. Get some Aluminum Tape and cover the area that is glairing in his (your) face. I think I can see him squinting in the photo.

I have this one, and it is great. It also has a built in glare shield, you can turn the light to direct it.

I have used this one a bunch of times at my buddies garage. It works well. It can be rotated so that the light is not directly in your eyes while working.

I like the led version of this,I find it puts out more light and lasts longer on a charge.
