Looking at options for lighting fixtures to install under my loft. I’d like it to be pretty bright , I can always put multiple switches or dimmable fixtures if a lot of light wasn’t always needed. Trying to keep the fixtures from taking up to much room since the loft is only 7’8” to the bottom of the joists. Here is a pic that you can see the bottom of the loft, the loft floor is 12’ wide X 26’ to the edge of the steps. 3d38c84a1c1ff6e8d98439af815ff572.jpg

Install blocking between the joints so when the lights are mounted the bottom of the fixture is flush with the bottom of the joists

This was my original intentions, but with all the new types of led fixtures I wondered if there might be a newer better option.

I would go with some of the 4' LED lights that are alternatives to the 4' T8 light figures. I did some very cheap ones for my small garage and attic (not related) and they are very economical. However, my installation isn't very professional. Most come with traditional plugs but you can install outlets to handle that. Lots of options on Amazon.

So I’m looking at the 4’ fixtures with led bulbs in 5000k but no stores here have any. They all carry 4000k , I could buy fluorescent fixtures and use led bulbs they stock this, or would I be better off trying to order a led set up?
