Underground conduit into crawlspace

Ive got a 100 amp sub panel in my pole barn, 33ft from my house.
I'm running 2" PVC 2ft underground from my crawlspace to the shop. There is absolutely no way to run 2" conduit into the house panel(feeder panel).

So I'm thinking I will have to go from the feeder panel, along bottom of floor joists into the conduit then out to the shop.

My question is, does this sound OK?
What type wire would be ok to run through the crawlspace then into the conduit?

What size breaker will you be using for the feeder? In other words what size breaker will you be using the house panel to connect to the feeder that will run out to the shop?

Run conduit into your crawlspace, and then put a junction box in. Separate waterproof conductors go out to your shop in the conduit, romex style "cable assembly" goes from that junction box to your panel, no conduit needed.

Good idea on the junction box. Thanks!

How is it that you can run cable from crawl space but not conduit? What's forcing that decision?

I can run conduit through the crawlspace, but I cant 90 up into the house panel without major demo.

If you reduce the conduit size to 1.5" or even 1.25" (with some adjustments) does that enable you to run conduit in house?

What exactly does major demo mean?

I've got cinder block foundation right under my home panel. I would have to break up 2 or 3ft of cinder block. Don't want to do that. Wish I could figure out how to post pics off my phone.

You have to have a junction box in the crawl space. There is no wire or cable that can be ran underground AND be allowed in the house without conduit. You're gonna need two different types of wire. Run SER from the main panel to the crawl space. Run XHHW or THHN or MHF in the conduit.

Just went through the same situation 2 weeks ago. Came into the house through an LB with MHF in 2" conduit into a 12x12 junction box. Used Polaris connectors to transition to SER and ran that about 15ft up into my panel.

That's exactly what I'm gonna have to do. Can you post pics how you mounted your junction box?
