Underslab Insulation

We're installing 1-1/2" foam board under our basement slab. There are a few places around the floor drain, closet flange and sewage basin and the footings where there are small gaps in the foam board. Should we try to seal those with spray foam. Do you need to tape the seams?

No need to tape insulation seams if you used a vapor barrier below? In a basement if you did not use a vapor barrier I would highly recommend taping seams and using spray to close up other gaps. The insulation board is there to limit the amount of heat transfer, generally speaking not having the insulation as tight as possible around drains, columns etc is not the end of the world....

Thanks for the info. I foamed or foil taped all the gaps and seams last night. It should be covered with concrete in the next couple of hours.
