Uneven sealer finish

I had my slab poured and the contractor applied a spray sealer last week. The finish coloration is very uneven and appears wet in areas, although it is dry. He says it will even out to a uniform color over time. Is this normal? How long should I have to wait? Or did something go wrong? It looks horrible!

I had my slab poured at the end of May and mine looks worse than that. It is fading some but I'm not worried about it. It will get an epoxy coating when all is said and done.

I as told you could not apply an epoxy coating over sealer and that it would have to be stripped for the epoxy to adhere properly. I was hoping the sealed surface would be the final finish.
