I bid on and won a Kennedy tool box and contents at a local online auction this week. I decided the tool box was worth having and the set of drill bits helped justify my bid. Imagine my surprise when I got it home and found an early (type 2?) Stanley 110 "shoe buckle" block plane. It's missing the knob and has a ding on one corner but the lever cap is unbroken and the mouth isn't cracked in the corners. I'll see if I can approximate the dimensions of the knob and make a replacement--anyone have one for dimensions etc? I'll probably take this to a tool meeting and see if it sells because I don't really collect planes, and this could probably pay for some future tool purchases.
